Talking with B-Side Stories about the heart of our sector
This week I have a great kōrero with Victoria Quade. She hosts B-Side Stories on Wellington Access Radio 106.1FM. We talked about leadership, governance, and community mahi / work. Our focus was the nonprofit and NGO sector in Aotearoa.
I shared a surprising number during our chat. There are around 115,000 NGOs in Aotearoa New Zealand. That’s a huge part of our country’s social support and impact.
What we talked about in the interview
We talked about what it’s really like to lead a nonprofit. NGO leaders often carry a big, invisible load. Boards and staff work hard with limited resources. Many feel isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to start.
I also shared my mahi / work as The NGO Coach. I help leaders build sustainable and people-first organisations. I focus on clarity, confidence, and stronger team connection.
